Right to Food

Educational Activities
Description

Respect, Protect, and Fulfill

Stories and games designed to introduce the idea of food as a human right.

Within this right, there are three obligations to which governments, including the Canadian government, have agreed to promote: to Respect, Protect, and Fulfill the right to food.

For each of the three obligations, we propose a story illustrating the concept, a simple game, and discussion questions. The activities will deepen students’ understanding of the challenges involved in carrying out these obligations and engage them in the ideas and attitudes that enable them to see the right to food as an important tool to end hunger.
