In this activity, students will learn about different types of emergency food assistance that are distributed, such as food baskets, vouchers, and therapeutic foods.
This activity is intended to extend the learning of the Ration Meal activity, produced by Canadian Foodgrains Bank. The Ration Meal activity can be found at foodgrainsbank.ca/education. Exploring Types of Food Assistance can be done as a separate activity, though you are encouraged to consult the Ration Meal activity to learn more about food rations.
