Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is supporting Raeduun for Sustainable Development (RSD) with a four-month humanitarian response project in Al Khawakhah district, Al Hodeidah Governate, Yemen.

There are over 21 million people in Yemen in need of humanitarian assistance as the conflict enters its ninth year. The impacts of that conflict, a poor rainy season in 2022 and high food prices have conspired to create a hunger crisis. 35% of the population of the targeted district is in IPC3 and 20% is in IPC4.

RSD will provide four monthly food basket transfers to 800 internally displaced households (5,600 individuals).

The monthly food basket will consist of 50 kgs of whole wheat flour, 25 kgs of white wheat flour, 10 kgs of canned beans, 8 litres of oil, 2.5 kg of sugar and 1 kg of salt. A total of 160 mt of whole wheat flour, 80 mt of white wheat flour, 32 mt of beans, 25.6 mt of oil, 8 mt of sugar and 3.2 mt of salt will be provided over the four-month project.
