There’s someone we’d like you to meet – Ary Vreeken!
Ary Vreeken has recently accepted our invitation to the regional representative position for Alberta.
He may be new to the team in 2021, but Ary is no stranger to us. Ary worked as international program director at Canadian Foodgrains Bank from 2007-2009 and continued to complete various contracts for our programs team in the years to follow.
In addition to a strong background in development work through World Renew, the Foodgrains Bank, and Samaritan’s Purse, Ary brings education in agriculture, community development, and social work.
He has some direct Canadian farming experience and has also spent years working with agriculture development in Niger.
Up until this appointment, Ary was teaching community development in the faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary. Ary and his wife live in Calgary with their four young adult children, and are active in their Christian Reform church.
We look forward to welcoming Ary back to the Foodgrains Bank on Tuesday, August 3. Ary can be contacted via email at alberta@foodgrainsbank.ca.
