From Failed Rains to Renewed Hope

Between 2020 and 2023, the Foodgrains Bank network launched a significant response to the humanitarian needs of people experiencing the drought in southern Ethiopia, northern Kenya, and Somalia. The projects, 22 food assistance projects and seven acute malnutrition treatment projects supported by Foodgrains Bank members provided $27.8 million in humanitarian assistance to assist people impacted by the drought.
