Emergency Relief and Development Overseas (ERDO) is partnering with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe on an agriculture and livelihoods project in three wards in Zaka District, Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe.

Climate change impacts, including erratic rainfall patterns, droughts, and floods, alongside poor farming practices and inadequate agricultural inputs, have led to crop failures and livestock losses, exacerbating food insecurity.

The project will improve food security and livelihoods for 710 households (approximately 3,550 individuals) through climate-smart agriculture practices, small livestock production, horticulture, and the establishment of village savings and lending groups.

To further diversify production, the project will support small livestock and vegetable production. It will also promote income generating activities like marketing and value addition for agriculture produce and further diversification will be through off-farm income generating activities supported by village savings and lending activities.
