Right now, over half the population of Sudan (24.6 million people) are facing crisis levels of hunger. Ongoing conflict has forced millions of people to flee their homes, seeking safety in neighboring countries like South Sudan, where the need for food and humanitarian aid is urgent.
On Friday, March 14 at 12:00 p.m. CT, our executive director Andy Harrington will be joining us for a live report from South Sudan. You’ll hear from our members’ local partners about their response to this crisis, and stories about how this crisis is impacting the people who have to live with and through this devastating reality. You’ll also learn how we, as Canadians, can help support.
Due to the instability in the area, there is a possibility we may not be able to bring this to you live. If this is the case, we will schedule a new time on Thursday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m. CT, when our staff have returned home and can share updates on what they saw.
