Join us on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 2:00pm CST for a webinar on legacy giving, presented by the Canadian National Christian Foundation.

If you want to make sure your values extend beyond this lifetime, we invite you to learn more about the different types of planned or legacy gifts. We’ll cover topics such as gifts of stock, RRSPs and estate gifts. We will also include time for questions.

Our speakers are Loren Jackson and Mary Lynn Huizinga from the Canadian National Christian Foundation (CNCF).

Lorne provides overall leadership and vision for the work of CNCF. After 25 years in the financial services business, he sold his company and left the “for profit” world in 2002 to create the Canadian National Christian Foundation as a federally incorporated public foundation to serve donors in Canada wanting to give more efficiently and with more flexibility.

Lorne donates his time to the Foundation and that has led him to working with financial advisors and charity leaders in funding charitable work across Canada and around the world. He is spending much of his time these days travelling and speaking at ministry and church events, helping raise the awareness of methods and options for giving from our estates while reducing our taxes.

With a passion for giving and overall stewardship Lorne has written a book on the subject of Stewardship. In his book he points out that stewardship is an often misunderstood and misrepresented word. His book entitled, “After the Faith Decision… all else is stewardship” reminds readers that stewardship is not just about money or fundraising but is all of life.

Mary Lynn grew up in an entrepreneurial family and for the last 43 years she has watched, worked, and now helps direct her family’s business.  Having an advisor walk with her family through seasons of business transition inspired her to pursue her own CFP designation. Her passion is educating and empowering clients to make well informed decisions with the resources God has entrusted to them. She is currently working on her Master Financial Advisor – Philanthropy (MFA-P) designation to provide clients with strategic philanthropic advice.

Mary Lynn passionately believes in making a difference. Having served with YWAM (Youth with a Mission), she has spent time in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. She has also supported work in Morocco and Jordan. She has been involved locally in her church with children’s ministries, youth missions’ trips, marriage ministries, and women’s prison ministries. Mary Lynn serves as a board member for the Christian Credit Union where the focus is to encourage people to be faithful stewards of the financial resources God has given to them.
