Central Alberta Growing Project

Map showing locations of growing projects across Canada

This Growing Project was founded in 1996 by a group of farmers and farm supporters. We’ve successfully worked each year to plant, tend and harvest a crop with the help of local farms, local businesses, and community supporters. The harvested crop is sold on the Canadian market with the proceeds donated to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to be used in the work of responding to world hunger. This year, we are growing 120 acres of canola, and the field is located 10 minutes southeast of Lacombe.

We greatly appreciate all the essential help and support we receive from the community. If you’d like to contribute to our growing project, $100 will support an acre of land, though any size of donation puts us one step closer to our goal of responding to world hunger. Donations will be eligible for a charitable tax receipt, issued by the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Thank you for your interest in the Central Alberta Foodgrains Growing Project.
