We’re excited to equip others to lead this group activity and reach more Canadians through your organization, churches and/or communities!

Through Forced to Flee, participants experience the difficult decisions faced by refugees and others displaced by conflict. It can be a powerful way for individuals and groups to better understand the realities of conflict, forced displacement and hunger. It is designed for ages 11 and up, and works well for church groups or Bible studies, youth groups and other community groups.

In this training you will:

  • Learn about the different versions of Forced to Flee and discover what is best for your audience. This training will focus on the original in-person version
  • Learn about the materials available and things needed to do the exercise with your group, plus, how to set up the exercise and get started
  • Learn about the root causes of hunger (especially conflict), how to frame this into the exercise and discussion time before and after
  • Learn how to run debriefing and discussion groups
  • Learn how to connect with local Foodgrains Bank staff for support
