Add Your Voice, Support Canadian Aid
If decision makers don’t hear from their constituents, they may assume people don’t care about international aid or the impact it has on global hunger.
As an advocate, you have an important opportunity to speak up for all our global neighbours facing hunger – especially those who have been forced to flee due to conflict, and small scale farmers on the frontlines of climate change, who are dealing with prolonged droughts, erratic weather and severe flooding.
When we come together and speak up, our voices make a difference. Join us in sending a postcard to our government that expresses support for Canada to act on the values of justice, compassion and generosity to the world.
A copy of this postcard will be sent to the Secretary of State for International Development, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and your own Member of Parliament:
To the Honourable Randeep Sarai, Secretary of State for International Development,
I’m proud to live in a country that plays a key role in making the world a better place and does its part to end hunger. Canadian aid helps improve livelihoods, builds stronger local and global economies and contributes to a more stable and peaceful world for us all. As a global leader in agriculture and food, Canada should help communities around the world dealing with rising food prices, climate change and conflict by prioritizing support for agriculture and food systems.
Will you join others and speak up?
It only takes a few minutes to help make a difference!
