Working together to end hunger
In 2024-25, we provided assistance to 1,176,111 people in 37 countries through our members and their local partners. This included emergency food assistance for 556,270 people facing crises such as war, earthquakes, and floods, as well as long-term support for 531,367 people building sustainable livelihoods, like learning how to grow their own food despite erratic weather. Who we are:
Canadian Foodgrains Bank is made up of 15 Canadian churches and church-based agencies working together to end global hunger. Since 1983, we have come together in the belief that everyone is made in the image of God and it is God’s desire that no one should go hungry.
How do we do it?
These members partner with trusted locally-based organizations in developing countries to meet emergency food needs and achieve long-term solutions to hunger.
Working with local partners means they have an understanding of the communities, the culture, and the context, increasing the impact of our programs. These partners work to serve the most vulnerable people in their communities.
