Christian and Missionary Alliance is supporting Raeduun for Sustainable Development (RSD) with a six-month food assistance project in Al Khawkhah district, Yemen.
Ongoing conflict in Yemen continues to create and perpetuate widespread displacement and economic stagnation that has resulted in millions of people facing emergency levels of food insecurity (IPC 4). In Al Khawkhah district, it is anticipated the conflict will continue to displace thousands of families which will increase food insecurity needs.
In response, RSD will provide five months of food baskets to vulnerable war-affected households. Each month, households will receive flour, beans, oil, sugar and salt.
650 households (approximately 4,550 people) are planned to receive this support.
