Conservation Farming in Zimbabwe

After losing her house during the 2010 Pakistan flooding, Mehrrin received a Foodgrains Bank supported food kit.

Naushin's Story

Naushin lost her home and land in the floods that ravashed much of Pakistan. She received a food kit that allowed her, her husband, and her six children to rent a small space close to where their old house you to be. Canandian Foodgrains Bank communications officer, Emily Cain was able to sit with Naushin for an interview in November 2010.

Pakistan Flood Relief

The flooding that began in Pakistan in summer 2010 has devastated much of the country. Millions have been affected and have lost their homes and livelihoods. Fields have been washed away. These photos were taken by Kelvin Honsinger, Director of ERDO, who travelled to Pakistan to take part in the distribution of food kits to flood-affected families.

Ration Lunch

On September 9 the Foodgrains Bank, Mennonite Central Committee and Canadian Lutheran World Relief held a ration meal event in Winnipeg, inviting over 50 religious, community, and business leaders and others to share a meal similar to that eaten in a refugee camp in East Africa.
