Silantoi Kisoso has been appointed senior program officer in the International Programs Department at Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
Kisoso brings several years of experience working in community development, most recently as executive director of Partners in the Horn of Africa.
Kisoso has also worked in West Africa as operations manager for myAgro, a social enterprise providing support for small-scale farmers, as well as FrontlineSMS.
Kisoso also brings a range of experience coordinating water, sanitation and hygiene projects in Kenya and Bangladesh.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba in global political economics.
Kisoso is originally from Kenya and has lived the last several years in B.C. She has a five-year old daughter, and comes from a Lutheran faith background.
